About the guests
Oliver Neumann is producer and CEO of the Vienna-based FreibeuterFilm, which he co-runs with Sabine Moser. Trained as a film editor at the Vienna Film Academy, he shifted to producing in 2008 and has since brought over 20 award-winning feature films to international audiences. His notable productions include Große Freiheit by Sebastian Meise (Cannes UCR – Jury Prize, Oscar shortlisted), Hinterland by Stefan Ruzowitzky (Locarno – Prix du Public), and Macondo (Berlinale Competition). In addition to producing, Oliver continues to work as an editor and is an active member of the European, German, and Austrian Film Academies.
Sabine Moser is producer and CFO of the Vienna-based FreibeuterFilm, which she runs with Oliver Neumann. Born in 1979 in Tyrol, Austria, she studied business and comparative literature in Vienna. She began her film career collaborating with director Sebastian Meise on his short films. At FreibeuterFilm, Sabine has produced over 25 acclaimed feature films showcased at festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Locarno, and London. Recent titles include Große Freiheit by Sebastian Meise (Cannes UCR – Jury Prize, Oscar shortlisted), The Village Next to Paradise by Mo Harawe (Cannes UCR), and Mother’s Baby by Johanna Moder (Berlinale Competition). She is a member of the European and Austrian Film Academies.
